My husband Stephen and I are products of public schools and both our children attended Denver Public Schools. I believe public education is a fundamental cornerstone of our democracy.

Denver's Channel 8 provided each candidate time to talk about the campaign.
The DENVER POST endorsed me. Since I am running unopposed, this was quite a nice surprise.

Jeanne Kaplan, who is running unopposed for re-election, has served well for the past four years in this unpaid position.
Though we don't always agree with Kaplan, it's always good to have someone on the board who asks difficult questions. Furthermore, her efforts to bring greater transparency to the district are to be applauded.
She's been a valued member of the board and we recommend her for re-election.
